It seems that our good friend Mr. Putin enjoyed his electronic sojourn in the USA so much, he has decided to visit France, Germany, and a number of smaller states in the same manner. He has had varying degrees of success, but going after the US first was a smart tactic. If you figure you are only going to get ONE real shot at it before everyone else catches on and builds defenses, then gamble and go as high as possible on your target list. And he hit the jackpot.
Thanks that some are okay with my too-many rhymin’s. {I do ‘em for relief against the news, and figure that I might’s well send ‘em.} … Here’s yet anOther:
And the Republicans are happy with Putin’s choice, their guy won, tax breaks for billionaires, the rest of you can go jump in a lake of fire for all they care.
Ivanka got a hundred million dollar ‘charitable contribution’ bribe from the Saudis after Tramp’s arms deal. The kind of thing Tramp roared was “criminal, she should be locked up” when Hillary got 25 million from the Saudis.
Interesting that the actual voting process is ignored in this mess. The voter suppression campaign has been a rousing success, but what about the outright theft of votes? Black box voting machines and tabulators, and partisan hacks running the boards of elections, and the media’s response is …. crickets. To me, vote-rigging should qualify as treason.
Yeah, the GOP knows he’s unstable. They know he’ll crash the economy. They know he’s not on the level. They know he’s surrounded by crooks, incompetents, and dedicated racists. They know he makes the world less safe.
Pulitzer prize-winning pundit Thomas Friedman: Just think about that picture of Trump laughing it up with Russia’s foreign minister in the Oval Office, a foreign minister who covered up Syria’s use of poison gas. Trump reportedly shared with him sensitive intelligence on ISIS, and Trump refused to allow any U.S. press in the room. The picture came from Russia’s official photographer. In our White House! It’s nauseating. And the G.O.P. is still largely mute. If Hillary had done that, they would have shut down the government.
When W did this it was not true, the mission wasn’t accomplished, and the war went on and on. Now Putin may have accomplished putting Trump into the White House, but his meddling in elections goes on and on. Now he has a powerful ally in the Republican party.

Why are so-called ‘conservatives’ so comfortable with Russia influencing American elections?
Why are they so opposed to investigating what happened?
.
Solely because their side won?
Do they seriously believe the KGB has their best interests at heart?
Do they seriously believe it won’t happen again if it’s allowed to continue without being investigated?

EVERY WHICH WAY BUT LOOSE – {a Limerick and a PS}
It isn’t so paranoid
to think that Trump is buoyed
by perps who devise
our nation’s demise, -
- that devious tricks they’ve deployed.
… PS:
Trump is a tool of yuugely great use
for their turning us every which way but loose.
We’re yuugely annoyed,
not paranoid.

SOUNDS of EARLY MORN’S DARKNESS – {a double-limerick}
We hear our coffee-slurping
and a stray dog’s wretching and urping
and birdies a-chirping
and tree-frogs a-burping
and news that Trump is usurping – - -
- – - as if the presidency’s his throne, …
… and we hear ourselves as we moan
that we can’t condone
this Twilight Zone.
We wish that he’d leave us alone.

IMPEACHMENT WAS LOOMING – {a rhyme}
His hand was bad. He reshuffled
to get his cards improved.
Alas. They were bad cards STILL.
He whined and whimpered and snuffled
that enemies would have him reproved,
impeached on Capitol Hill.
And so, with his feathers thus ruffled
Trump led his troops as they scuffled
with those who felt behooved
to get The Donald removed
lest America be drowned in his swill,
drowned by his sociopathic will.

THE LEFT as LEX LUTHORS?!??!! – {a limerick, a coda, an image}
He’s supported by many a fan
who view him as Superman
and the Left as Lex Luthors
who’re yuugely big {losers} loothers
who belong in the garbage can.
… Coda:
It’s hard to understand
the mind of the Trumpian brand.
Would soon they please disband.

And a Further anOther anOther rhyme:
POLS DIVERT US so’s to SUBVERT US – {1.40 limericks and a coda}
A “democracy” is readily subverted
when we citizens’ minds get diverted,
not sufficiently alerted
to those who’ve asserted
a leadership where “democracy” is inverted, -
- we the People demoted
and the Rich more bloated.
… Coda:
Politicians keep us diverted
while “democracy” they have perverted.
