New Zealand got smart when they realized what’s good for the environment, like valid grazing and fishing practices to conserve and protect resources, was also good for increased and steady profit.

Because this is totally what happens.

And passing laws to regulate pollution is just too unwieldy, as it makes lawmakers responsible.

What we really need is an unanswerable bureaucratic agency with absolute authority.

And they can use fines they collect to contribute to progressive community organizations.

That is how we will save the world for future generations.

Local fishermen are hoping that Trump removes regulations so they can fish out the local beds. They have no conception that when that happens they won’t have ANY FISH AT ALL! The furthest they can see ahead is the end of the day.

Since most rich people want to establish dynasties, the secret just MIGHT be to remind them that their kids or grandkids won’t be having a hell of a lot of fun in a blasted moonscape…….

“That which does not kill you makes you strong”, will keep making corporations rich until it DOES kill you, at which point, they will poison another part of the environment for others, until they and the land is dead, then they will move on until nobodies left. THAT is why LAWS were passed, not just Executive Orders or agency REGULATIONS to stop the destruction. This goes back not just to Nixon, but back to the Taylor Grazing Act and other LAWS of the early 1930’s. Trump is trying to kill hundreds of years of law with his “executive Orders”, and that isn’t a power of POTUS.
