Right. Our neighbor galaxy gets a cool name like Andromeda, but we call our own “the Milky Way”?- – - – - – - – - – - – - – -Actually, in serious scientific papers the preferred term astronomers use to refer to our galaxy is simply “the Galaxy”. “Milky Way” is viewed as being somewhat juvenile.
