So, not CDC then, I suppose. On the plus side, Apex is breaking out the Flamethrowers. Maccready would be so proud.

At least Holly is outside of the building and may escape incarceration. We now she escapes termination. Maybe she will connect with Doc.

This is good. Dear Doc Chase, hope he finds Holly, or she sees him and make can escape. But, We Know Doc is going to mutate, s well as the cops. It would be good if the cops and the Disease control argue and give Holly and Doc aa chance to escape. At least this is what I hope happens. Or else the cops mutate and get "exterminated with “extreme prejudice” or however that goes.It might be a little humor next time.Doc may have a direct link to whenever Disease control is called out too.

Shon Howell: nonsense. He knows he ordered bed rest for his “daughter” and now disease control is out at her house: he knows she’s in danger. And in the melee between the cops and “disease control” Holly can get into a car and escape.

Cops are not immune, as we know from Nov 25th 2013 – Dec 7th. The first time we see Lynn, and Holly (in shadow), Lynn faces down a mutated cop._ I’d post the comic, but the URL didn’t appear when I right clicked.

The secret that Lyn and Holly had and the $$ they seem to acquire from Apex because of it….Why weren’t they putting two-and-two together?

I’m very interested to see how this interaction evolves. Aside from Lyn’s recent demise via explosion, these cops may have already been exposed to the mutagen via various locations in the course of their investigation, and this is clearly a ‘heated’ exchange. There’s obviously a mysterious dormancy stage for the mutagen at this point in the story arc, and I have a theory that at this point in the timeline, it is the denser emotions that spontaneously trigger the mutagen in a monstrous direction (fear, anger, etc.), regardless of incubation time. Perhaps it’s just strong emotions in general that trigger spontaneous change -and being conscious while mutating would certainly cause a huge adrenaline dump-but it’s my operating theory of the moment./// I’m also beginning to think of the mutagen as a natural defense mechanism of the world itself. Anger, fear, etc fueled by technology in the guise of world war is reeking havoc on the planet. What better response than to attempt to regress humans back to a form that ostensibly will work within the constructs of environment, rather than destroy it.///// Of course, the mutagen evolves as all viruses do. When the Endtown story arc begins, it seems an instant of exposure means a nearly instant transformation, but it’s clearly not that way in the beginning stages (which we only get to see through flashbacks). Lyn would have had a very strong cocktail of fear-love-anger-rinse-repeat in his system upon seeing mutated Holly and their lifeless child; what makes me curious (and more in the camp of those who feel he is trying to protect Holly somehow) is that his monster form still contains so much of his original form. Have we seen that in any other ‘monster’? If he is mid mutation, it does seem he is hanging on to some scrap of his humanity until the last panel where the eyes in his ‘tail’ go blank. Up till then, there is expression, and cognition in his various faces.

I’m not sure if the eyes are blank or just closed. Monsters with eyes all seem to have iris and pupil intact.

Something I´d like to see – if someone was starting to mutate and they were either knocked out in the process, or a sedative was added, an instant one :p (either just as it started, or they could feel it starting). Would it counter the wild mutation or not.

Here’s what NDDC has to go on: monster mutated in home, escaped and was blown up by buddy bombs (Robbie recorded most of the transformation) Blood in the bedroom and bath. Dead fish in the tub. don’t know if Robbie ever saw Holly-mouse. They may think Lyn-monster ate her, and are “cleansing” the area by burning it, in which case Holly may get away without them realizing there is a mutant escapee. Holly may be the plague carrier.

I think I know where this is going… Who were the last two people to have contact with Holly and Lyn? Considering how quickly the mutagen is transmitted and its virulance.

There is a good chance that Holly somehow leaves with Doc Chase. We know that he is the one who brings her to Endtown. One possibility is that Holly is somehow able to sneak into the car while the fuzz and Topsiders fight and after he gets over the surprise of his step daughter’s mutation, he works out a plan to get her some place safe. The other is that she gets captured, tortured and either escapes or is rescued. Given Aaron’s comment about bringing out the manure spreader, I’m guessing on the latter.

I think it can be assumed Holly will escape with Doc, and Doc knows more about the mutations than he lets on. He’d warned Lyn about the mutations without giving out too much information. He may have been treating mutants already, maybe at the place that became Endtown, so he could take her there. We know he won’t mutate right away after being exposed to her, because he becomes a badger, not a monster. If this world’s history parallels the one that Flask went to and started building an Endtown, then a Flask could have been building this world’s Endtown to prepare for the End of this world. She’s probably long gone, but would have left instructions for people to look out for and recruit, including Doc Chase. She may also have been the first person in the world to carry the mutagen, and the pre-Endtown people could have been studying her for a cure. And intentionally or accidentally released the mutagen she carried, causing the crisis they were trying to prevent.

Yeah, Holly’s still alive. Not Ethel, not BabyFish (probably) and certainly not Lyn. Doc Chase may wish to read up on “Survivor’s Guilt” or “Survivor Syndrome”, if he sees Holly. But somehow Holly has to hit the road and maybe she loses touch with Doc Chase until she gets to Endtown. But I think others may be right thinking that Doc Chase knows more about mutants than he revealed to Lyn. googles Survivor Syndrome. Wikipedia says she may become Batman! Bats do kind of look a little like mice, with leathery wings. Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo deh, MOUSEGIRL!

How much time has passed since the explosion? Are the cops responding to that, and/or want to question Ms. Hollister because she was associated with another one? If because of explosion how did NDDC get there so fast-before the cops? Cops might have just saved Holly’s life just by showing up. NDDC look like they want to sterilize everything. Without witnesses, Holly could have been another “casualty of the explosion”.

Another interesting possibility is that Holly (either with or without Doc Chase) will wind up at Pep Cola Stadium. We know that Dottie has said that Walt Trimble became the mayor of Endtown because of his actions at Pep Cola. Its possible we may actually see what he did.

The police are probably as much in the dark about “mutations” as most of the population. The DDC thru APEX bought the silence of Lyn and Holly….which was nice….they could have just killed them and blame it on crazed militants. The police are there conducting an investigation and were coming back to follow up with Holly. The only clue they have to Ethel is Holly last seen running from the house before a big explosion took it out. Now they show up seeing another explosion report and the NDDC on scene preparing to cauterize the house to small chunks of carbon. It would not surprise me if the NDDC turn their weapons on those two officers……it would be their way……..destroy all evidence…..clean with fire in a hope it stops the virus…..not even the law will be able to stand in their way………..destroying the virus this way is a false hope.Holly may be able to slip out in the confusion and escape with Doc. Doc may be more aware of the situation than we know.

Can anybody remind me what the position of the triangles meant? There were two types, one pointing up, and one pointing down. I think one was Apex, and the other was something else, maybe what replaced Apex after the purge of the SturmAbteilung.
