OK I see it (more or less) but I still don’t know what it is.

At maximum screen magnification, the image loses clarity but… …it does sort of remind me of something out of Dr Seuss, but it’s been so long…

Petey is the only one who knows what he’s doing here.

So that’s what happened to tinkerbell!!

It’s small, it flies, and it glows, clearly Petey is right; it’s a miniature flying squirrel that glows in the dark. I guess Boris Badenov made Rocky radioactive somehow.

Oh well, no worse than a talking horse….

Through visual processing, we can determine that the creature has a trunk, and a round body accompanied by four stumpy legs.

Thus, I’d say it is a glowing albino miniature flying elephant.

A G.A.M.F.E. for short.

It looks like the elephant bird from Horton.

when I maxed it, kinda looked like an elephant with something riding on its back….:-/ meh…

Bye the bye, Petey does see a squirrel on the far side of the shed in the first panel. He just knocked over the brace in his haste.

Even after his/her/its departure, the shed is aglow!

GOSH,…you don’t think that the obscurity of the glowing, talking wisp might be an intentional tease by the storyteller to whet your appetite for the next installment!? Wiley is a masterful storyteller and knows exactly what he is doing here. One of the reasons I love Wiley’s strip is that special talent that he has for manipulating (in a good way) his readers’ attention for the next day’s installment. Kinda like the way TV shows place their commercials, isn’t it!? Can you say “DUH!?”

You must be using Firefox, right? Neither Internet Explorer nor Chrome has a “View Image” right-click option. (Internet Explorer gives an “Open Image” option, but it’s grayed out.) But even in Firefox, when I follow your steps, all it does is open the low-resolution enlarged image in a new tab – not the high-res image we all crave.

Anyone else?

That is one chunky day-glo hummingbird.

I saw a bird with a squiggly beak before and after that terrific enlargement trick. IT does look like something I’ve seen before.

Hint, hint: the key to finding the URL of the really large image is the zazzle.com ad on the page (which you may not see with Firefox, depending on your noscript & adblock settings).

I guess this is a uclick server but the coding is gibberish to me not being java proficient. I’ll leave it to the experts. However, that image looks a little like one of Pinocchio’s pink elephants.

I think it looks like a bird with a long bill. What is the gold streamer following it? It doesn’t appear to be attached, may have a snake-like tongue and be the source of the glow. Definitely supernatural.

What appears to be a “trunk” is actually the opposite wing. There may be a figure actually riding the flying firefly.

I sure would hate to be standing underneath that bird.

Or a very large mutant fire-fly?

I say it’s a mix of a firefly and a miniature elephant. I call it an elefly.

Is it Al Gore’s libido?

I found out about the image when the Zazzle ad failed a few months ago, and Richard Thompson, creator of Cul de Sac pointed out that by clicking on the proto-Zazzle ad you get a much more detailed image than is available anywhere else. To find the image on any Uclick comic, search the page source for “zazzle”, then look around that section for code ending in “mime=gif”. Copy and paste that code, from the “http” to “mime=gif” to your address bar, and you can see the image.
