My guess is that this is a daydream, or they found a commercial company, promoting, uh, um… bad music?

A lot of telemarketers make your ears bleed.

EEK!!! I hope that’s not Wally’s blood.

The old story is dead and a new story begins? Or, is Wally trekking the glass mountains of the apocalypse outside of Unity suffering nightmares along the way.

Jim’s alive and doing a Krueger?

As the phone gave an auditory cue, I’m guessing this is a dream over a ditto illusion.

Ditto infestation so severe you can’t trust anything you see. It’d make you brain bleed.

Either an hallucination or more likely a nightmare as an echo of what poor Wally has had to put up with thus far.

Perhaps this is Wally’s sub-conscious reminding him that he has the blood of the innocent reptiles on his hands.

according to his personality (pot calling the Kettle Black)or some one who is reduced to using the same tactics as the enemy has lost already.

I think this is either a dream, or maybe a flashback. Oh look, a rotary dial phone.

At Google+ she writes she can post on other comics, but it doesn’t show up at Endtown.

She is visible at CrossTimeCafe forum commenting on Jenner’s Doc Rat and Nightstar’s CarryOn, but she cannot post at Endtown.

Just what types of earworms do they have in Endtown? I will have to think about filking an Iggy Pop song from Brick by Brick (no, not Candy).

Given the totally featureless background, I would go with dream sequence.

On the plus side, if it is Wally’s nightmare, at least he’s self-imaging himself as who he is now. Over all that uncomfortable-in-your-new-mutated-body stuff…

Curious way for Wally to hold a phone as his REAL ear is several inches from the handset’s speaker. It would make more sense to hold the speaker away from his head so the head wouldn’t muffle the sound.

Wally is not responsible for the deaths in Unity.It was kill or be killed and he knew that.I would expect the soldier in him to act no different.What may be bothering him is Endtown.The place that folks died to save his life. Gave him a safe place. Found the woman he loves. And he left it behind to the tender mercies of Jacob. All because he could not stand up.If blood is being spilt….its in Endtown.Just an opinion.

Interesting? Yes. Intriguing? Yes. Informative? No!

Just saw this, “Now for something completely different”.

We know it’s not real sinc Wally nd the furniture are not stting on a floor there are no markers to link it to any one place.

Wally does carry guilt when he causes someone’s death…but he didn’t kill anyone in Unity. Jim/thing started the fire; and either he/it or Sarah (well, not Wally, anyway) killed the nursery. Belicac fell on the broken bottle on his own. As for the last group. When Sarah pronounced her death sentence for the “Wally Group”(including Kirbee), not a single voice was raised in protest. Wally was forced to call the dittoes to him, and that was that. The only violence I can think of is Wally beating the crap out of Belicac…twice. Hee…hee

Well… This is an interesting way to start a new adventure.

I remember seeing the trailer of the Abominable Dr. Phibes. You answer the phone, a long skewer gets you in the brain. That was the first thing I thought of when I saw Wally “bleeding.”

Really, I expected a few more days with Wally, and crew, making deesisions about where to go, Who all is going, and a little follow up on Chic. That poor kid is in serious need of a talk therapist by now. but maybe it’s left to each of our own imaginations about Chic and Kirbee.

Answer the bleeding phone!

If this is indeed some sort of flashback nightmare…I wonder what Wally is having a nightmare about. There’s his old baggage…plus as of the last strip Wally made an (involuntary) visit to this colony, and, in the end, all but three of the inhabitants died. More guilt.

You know what? I predict Aaron Marx is going to be showing up soon. But this time it’s going to be different – either as a really old man, or as a kid wearing a baseball cap
