Now we find out just how well the lizards have trained the ‘outsiders’ dittos. I think they’ll still be true to Wally and gang, much to the detriment of the lizards.

The dittos have proven to have some awareness. They can play play jokes and respond to apologoes. The “feral” ones tried to drive Al and Gustine away; and I believe they were tormenting Sparkplug (though his visions might have been brought on by his own feelings of guilt). They seemed to like working for Marx. And, I think they like Wally, and probably don’t like the lizards. I wonder if the TSers will bother to bring Sarah back to “play with”. Did anyone suggest that the infrared blossom from the fire would probably be seen by the TSer satellite, and that’s what brought them?

I hate to say it, but I just want it to be complete at this point. I feel there’s been too many cliffhangers and wanting.

“You DO know how to whistle, don’t you?”So, Sarah hasn’t lost ALL her memories after mutating. She can at least recall her humble upbringings. But that does raise another question – “How does a telemarketer get far enough within Apex to be turned into a Topsider, anyway?” This kind of throws a wrench in the “Apex quasi-military/full-blown-Army” theory.

Even Apex needs a good telemarketing firm to help shore up the budget in their less “Doomsday weaponry” divisions. But hey, now we know Sarah’s always been a cold-blooded, evil monster.

It’s the last-minute, Bruce-Willis-style turnaround that will reverse the fortunes of the bad guys to the good guys. What’s more, the dittos are tele-empathic. They can choose which people they think are more deserving of being saved. They know Wally very well, from the previous story. I’m guessing they’ll make up their minds to be on his side.

I have to wonder if the “consciousness” behind the dittos are what is left of the souls lost in the apocalypse. Some may have been more aware than others, which would account for differences. In their current state, they might be more able to form hive minds. and collect into different tribes.

I think Wally’s dittos wave been in deep communication with the semi-tamed ones from the lizard colony, and may have successfully enlightened them, or perhaps the other way around.

Anyone ever see the movie Zardoz? The community of enlightened souls used concentrated mental processes to deal with a couple dissenters at one point. Come to think of it, if you like Endtown, you might also like Zardoz.

If we think back to Wally & Holly’s ditto-illusion to Bordavia, we might remember Wally & Holly were not physically affected by the dittos. Perhaps the dittos allowed Wally & Holly (and a dog named Boo?) to pass through illusions like a truck I though would mow them down. So while dittos may have substance, it may be less substance than a photon, which would raise the question of whether enough of them could be laid together to actually form a physical barrier. I am guessing not, and Sarah does not know the dittos are not much more than pixels with some sort of hive mind. While Doc Pauli Guy can order the dittos to block the Topsiders, if the invaders (rescue team?) are not illusions themselves, the dittos only method of blocking them might be illusion. Which means Doc Pauli Guy can order, but the order may be unsuccessful. The dittos would have to be able to carry out commands AND be willing to obey orders. Voting links are in my profile. It is a new month, so we might want to restore the place of Endtown and others to the leaderboard at TopWebComics. Thanks, JusSayin

Bring on the drones……..Still remains…..how did she know they were coming? What summoned them?Remember it is night so the smoke is not yet visible.A couple of ideas.Jim’s violent death trigger something in the suit to transmit.Sarah hooked up Clive to his PT body or got power to him and told him to transmit location. I know that would bring them. That PT belonged to the two they killed back at Albion West and when they seen it was not destroyed by the drones…..they have probably been looking for it. Drones probably send playback video of their actions so control can see how the job is done. She knew the deactivation code so she would know the one to reactivate.

So, to sum up. Sarah is a megalomaniac, Piotr is not to be relied on to curb her, who the dittos will follow is anyone’s guess, Jim may or may not be dead, Clive is an unknown and misplaced quantity, Topsiders are there in enormous numbers (how we do not know), but Wally has one hell of whistle on him.

    On to Friday.

How do we know the topsiders arrival isn’t a ditto illusion? Once they leave Wally et al they would be able to see that the sky has no topsiders in it, and scramble. BTW, smoke is somewhat visible after dark: primarily by obscuring what’s behind/under it. Plus the glow of the fire below maybe visible.SOOO many possibilities!! Can’t wait until friday.

Sarah was a… TELEMARKETER?! No wonder the colony was ready to kill her off.And it also explains why I had found her so annoying all this time.

The dittos like Wally enough to even protect him during the fight. They will definitely come when called.

Sarah’s like Oswald Cobblepot, moving up from umbrella holder to kingpin by using and betraying everyone in the way on the way. And Jim’s the Joker in the deck.

I have to admit I expected more of Piotr. He just turned tail an ran when she said to, and I thought he might at least put up an argument.
