“…Revered in the countryside” reminds me of the Longfellow poem: ” Listen my children and you shall hear. Of the midnight ride of Paul Revere…”

Well, Jeff said he needed to go rogue in order to get past the screw-ups. Of course, this is Jeff, so you know it will not end well. Certainly not for Havoc.

Hmmmm. Going rogue? Is Jeff the Sarah Palin of spies? Stomach now officially churning.

“I can see Berzerkistan from my house!”

Well, he could if Berzerkistan borders Afghanistan. Hmm…

Jeff seems to deserve the name “Havoc” more than Havoc does.

Yes, it could be Duke and his son Earl considering the money side of the equation…

Redfern messing up some sweet deals Havoc has with the local heroin dealers. Now that’d be poetic.

Sounds like Redfern is accomplishing more than Havoc ever did. Who else have we ever had there who could terrify the Taliban and connect with the locals?

Check out the beak and the shades on the game player. I do not think it is Jeff. I am going with Earl- or maybe Roland Hedley has come in country

    “Grows by the hour.”

Says something about today’s media cycle, doesn’t it?

    @DeltaEagle

Check the last panel on 2-24. The hair and the shades are a perfect match for Jeff and so is the beak.

Furthermore it seems that Jeff is the only one that Havoc would be certain about.

Some people cannot fit in with the establishment (even CIA establishment) and will always screw up. Left to do things his own way he becomes a legend like Zorro.

BUT THIS IS JEFF WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THOUGH! HERO? LEGEND? A MODERN ZORRO?

    Nah…….

I the second panel, The Red Rascal shouts “FREEE-DOM”. This strikes me less like Zorro and more like Mel Gibson’s “William Wallace” from Braveheart.

Jeff would adopt such a Hollywood reference as his guide.

Remember how Jeff got in trouble the first time? He had “accidentally” fired a missle which (miraculously) landed in an enemy ammo pile.

What was his excuse? He said that video games give him “an edge”.

And now… When he’s not terrifying the Taliban, he’s PLAYING VIDEO GAMES!

As scary as it sounds… Jeff should be playing those video games more often.

Does this mean Havoc can’t fire him now?

So when the guy mentions that the Red Rascal is “organizing resistance”, he means against the Taliban? I thought the Red Rascal was on their side, but it clearly says, “terrifying the Taliban by night”.

So, ok, the Red Rascal wears a white hat.

Glad that’s all worked out. Now everything is clear. Until something else will happen. Like, tomorrow.

This strip requires a certain amount of work to follow it, for us hapless non-Americans who don’t have the details of US politics to refer to!

    Clark buddy:

It sure does seem that the far-right keeps us under a deep dark layer of doo-doo. Main stream media may seem bladder borne. But we can come out of the wet and warped if we look just a little bit further.

start at http://www.slate.com., GT’s home base. Google around. You will find truth.

The legend of “Redfern of Kandahar” begins. I tremble with anticipation to the triumph of Jeff … and sticking it to all the “Freedom Hating” third world ɟoɹnɯ ʍǝɐsǝls.

RainaFarina’s greatest good fortune is, not living in a country with an overwrought conceited pontificator like Clark Kent. As a matter self improvement we should be inspired to be more like Farina.

Clearly, Chikuku, ‘sorkh’ is red and ‘razil’ is rascal (really ‘worthless’) in Dari. But pity that Trudeau didn’t look beyond the words in the dictionary. ‘razil-e sorkh’ would at least have felt like Dari.
