    @DylanThomasPi:

    Yes, but that statistic doesn’t include those who constantly confuse the two. ;-7

    If they really wanted nothing they could stay home, keep quiet, and (to quote RHPS) “receive it in abundance”.

    Was with what turned into BoA for over 15 years and through approximately 4 takeovers. Left them years ago after they bombed me with overdraft fees when my debit card was stolen. The thieves charged $800 to my card and BoA charged me approximately the same in overdraft charges before they were able to grasp that the card had been stolen. Fighting my way through their automated “support” system on a holiday weekend was a nightmare all it’s own. I left and will never go back.

    While the cool jerks giggle, the real issues remain: people are losing their homes, jobs, and health care; their Constitutional rights are being ignored by a fascist police state that protects corporations as if they were people; and tonight an Iraq war veteran is laying near death because he was shot in the head with a tear gas canister for having the temerity to practice some of the freedoms he fought to preserve for all of us, including the very cop who shot him in the face.

    I gotta give Mr. Trudeau credit. He sure knows how to mess with the cadre of Ann Landers types around here. The strip itself is funny… the deathly silence in the comments section as heads everywhere go ’splodey is even funnier. :D

    I tended to be a bit of a dufflebag myself when I was in… almost got ECD Airman of the Quarter once, but couldn’t do an about face in high heels, LOL!!! And they were always yelling at me for wearing BDUs instead of dress blues. So I’m not throwing stones at Roz for her military bearing or lack thereof, but to see it in someone who says she wants to start a fashion line is…. bizzare, at best. Women who affect the dufflebag look in the military are usually trying to get away from some form of sexual harassment. They don’t want to look good in the uniform. Guys won’t make as many wisecracks (or worse) and that way they can focus on getting the job done.

    I also think the hair regs for women are incredibly stupid and unrealistic given that for the bulk of the existence of the US Military, women were not allowed in combat. If you need to have hair short or up to prevent it from being in the way in a combat situation, enforce that regulation on combat troops only, or STFU.

    She’s a mechanic who can’t keep her own hair in 35-10 and she wants to start a fashion line? The “WTF” meter just pegged… I’m having Tank Girl “Liquid Silver” flashbacks.
