Layoff the Congressional Tea Party Congressmen/women First! They’ve succeeded bringing down the US (& World ) Economy better than bin Laden and al-Qaeda when they took out the World Trade Center!

The timing of the protest is great! People taking to the streets & all the news coverage will bring Liberals (Progressives) to the voting booths in large numbers for the 2012 elections.

Complacency brought these “Union busting” Teapublicans in to office. One of my pet peeves has been the lack of concern those who have “great health care benefits” for those who have to pay for their own health insurance costs (eg. mine went up to $721/month with $750 deductible & 20% co-pay). I’ve never had a “union job” but my paycheck would increase when ever the union folks got a raise. Plus management would treat us with more respect out of concern my co-workers would vote a union in for representation during contract negotiations.

What I want is Single Payer coverage for ALL. Would all this fussing by State Governors trying to balance their budgets citing rise in health care costs be relevant? As for Union busting tactics - I’d like to see this issue debated in the Supreme Court. I don’t think the Governors would get far on legality of their actions.

Good to see the richest 1% will have a Very Merry Christmas. Not like they need it - for them Christmas is every day! Doesn’t do much for the economy when most folks can’t afford Christmas. T’was a bit too commercialized anyway. Merry Christmas Ebenezer Scrooge!

My theory - the reason they don’t want to raise taxes for the rich is that they will find more Bernie Madoffs (ie - no real cash). Make believe assets via Leveraged Derivative Investments have drained this country of real assets!

Regulate the snot out of Wall Street & make them pay back all the $$ they Ponzi schemed from the American Investor. The top 2% can afford a higher tax rate - What’s the problem with that?

BTW some regulars have been saying the same old rant for years - I think he “needs” to come up with something better than the same old script.

I enjoyed your comic strip from it’s beginning. Thank you! This is from today’s (Oct 3) Ballard Street - a tribute to you indeed!

The logic of keeping the Bush Tax Cuts for the rich seems flawed. If it was true - I’d be working along with most people looking for jobs. Seems the opposite has happened since Clinton left office. The greedy people took over and made themselves not just rich - but über rich! For them it’s not about creating jobs but rather it’s about Power & Control!

I’m gonna agree with ottod on the cartoon’s subject.

Re: Debate Debacle - I found it amusing but also sad that a Governor should be ill prepared & won’t answer questions regarding her statement on headless bodies being found in the Arizona desert (not true). Video by the Associated Press :

Re: “So please tell me how the Republicans are holding ANYTHING “hostage” I would like to know the logic behind your argument.”

From CBS News (posted Sept 8, 2010

“Obama: GOP Holding Middle Class Tax Cuts “Hostage”

“So let me be clear to [House Republican Leader John] Boehner and everyone else: we should not hold middle class tax cuts hostage any longer,” he said. “We are ready, this week, if they want, to give tax cuts to every American making $250,000 or less. That’s 98, 97 percent of Americans.”

Boehner should know better - Tan In A Spray Can “Orange” isn’t a good look.

Seems the Republican leadership has held Economic Recovery “HOSTAGE” since President Obama won the election. Even before he took office, the Economy started to sputter - acting like someone put sugar in the gas tank to gum things up. Now we’re in a Recession/Depression & still the Republicans refuse to help/cooperate.

The party of NO should be shown the door & booted out this November!
