    Compromise is fundamentally Un-American.

How does one compromise on his/her convictions? How is it
good or noble to compromise on ones principles or against ones promises?
Compromise and consensus are cowardly places where those who are cowed reside. They are the refuge of the frightened and timid. They are the tools of tyrants
Only those who know they can’t win the arguement or fear the heat of battle compromise or claim consenus.
Compromise only works when both sides being debated are right and that rarely happens. Again, how does one compromise with something that is wrong?
Only cowards, losers and the weak minded compromise when standards, core values and convictions are in play.

Typical of the collectivists here to expect “compromise” in order to perpetually do everything that is currently destroying us. That’s right…don’t stop wrecking the country, because we’ve gone too far. We gave to go peddle-to-the-metal down their path until there’s nothing left to fix. By the way, “compromise” is essentially abandoning all other principles except what Democrats want to do, and basically removing all pretense of having an opposition party in the first place.

Democrats bowing to “compromise”, despite the known facts, and fearing “political consequences” of refusal, is exactly how we got into Iraq and Afghanistan at the same time, that worked well.

Obama is a master compromiser. His method is to start by giving Republicans more than they ask for, then, when they refuse because they can’t go along with anything he agrees to, give them more and more. The current deal is a good example.

The right wing is uncompromising in turning America into a dead beat nation that won’t pay it’s debts.

The Republicans are right. Just spend — let’s not bother with those messy taxes.

What we have here is a failure to communicate, the politicos know what they want and thats what we’re getting. I don’t like it anymore than you do, but what they wants is what we gets.
Doing away with the big handouts are subject to severe withdrawal symptoms and loss of votes

Layoff the Congressional Tea Party Congressmen/women First! They’ve succeeded bringing down the US (& World ) Economy better than bin Laden and al-Qaeda when they took out the World Trade Center!

Governing is all about compromise. You give up the parts you can do without while fighting to keep the parts you want in a way that the other guy thinks he got the upper hand. Stubbornly sticking to your point of view with no regard for the consequences isn’t leadership. Its a rare event when that mentality is right.
