I agree with Calvin; I also prefer mustard on my triceratops sandwich. Also rye, not white, and a side order of onion rings.

Most good recipes for homemade mayo include a bit of mustard.

Over here in Hawaii, you just can’t find good triceratops at the deli.

Calvin may still be thirsty after just that one glass of milk.In Calvin’s imagination, at the upper left, his mom is wearing the same shirt as at the lower right, but her pants/shorts are different.

Today’s Calvin and Hobbes strip is from 20 years ago, so it must have been before the triceratops was on the endangered species list. Today this strip wouldn’t be believable.

My mother would have asked me what I wanted in my sandwich. She would also have known to never give me mayonnaise.

I would banish onions to another universe. But Mustard makes everything better, even triceratops.

@Carl R and @Reppr: That explains it. Maybe Calvin’s mom had to change her pants after cutting up the triceratops.The huge package on top of the car reminds me of the ending to the Flintstones where Fred orders dinosaur ribs and it tips the car over.

Come to think of it, her apron looks perfectly clean.

Calvin lives in a house with a VERY tall ceiling in the kitchen……..

Well that’s gonna come back to bite Calvin’s Mom’s rear-end… in due time, of course.

That is not a Triceratops. The Triceratops is lizard-hipped and has 3 (tri) horns. That looks more like a T-Rex. But the concept is very good.

I wonder to what extent T-Rex actually tasted its food. I imagine them being more like dogs; just snarf and go.

It is likely that triceratops meat tastes “just like chicken.”.We now know that the birds (Aves) evolved from a branch of dinosaurs, however one closer to Tyrannosaurus Rex than to the Triceratops.

Chickens same from Tyrannosaur, so does it taste like T-rex?

You know Night-Gaunt, this is a question to which we may never know the answer…
