Wally, you kinda need to tone down your ego here. It would still be embarrassing to them if you escaped. Not as much as if you won the fight, but less risk to life and limb.

One has to wonder at the proliferation of secret tunnels all around and through Reptileville (what else are ya gonna call it, eh?)

And yeah, Wally, don’t be a wally. Get out while the getting’s good. Those snakes in lizard’s clothing will cheat to the max to see you dead.

Wonder if Wally had a little brother who mutated into a beaver. :)

And he didn’t want to hurt anyone when we first met him…

What the flyer didn’t mention is that, since Wally beat the snot out of that lizard the first time, this time he’ll be fighting with two hands tied behind his back.

If Flask were there, she’d be laughing her tuchus off at all the commenters warning Wally that fighting Phil is too dangerous.

That’s our Wally! If everything were fair, he’d be ruling Lizardtown!

Wally has proven resourceful and brave in fights in the past. But he’s also proven more level-headed than this and usually tries to avoid trouble. Maybe, if he wins the fight, he can claim a “Twinkie defense”…

I’m not that up on boxing but it was my impression that boxing matches were not fatal, that the kinds of head injuries that can be inflicted with boxing gloves can be bad after repeated fights but not for one particular match. Add in the fact that mutants have strong healing factors (consider Wally’s recovery from being clubbed by Clif) and it seems that Wally’s death would require more than just a boxing match. Its possible that Wally will be fed something poisonous before the fight or given a serious wound before he enters the ring.

Unless this is like the movie Gladiator, and they plan to drug/stab the cat before the match.

Well… It wouldn’t be the first time a cat killed a lizard.

Thanks for that TSOJ. I said boxing can be very dangerous which is a reason why we do other things now with a lot more protection and still had a fatality back a few years ago….now no more slamming one to the ground. Just roll and wrestle till one gives up.Wally is talking himself back into trouble AGAIN……he again has forgotten Holly and is running off all willy nilly to regain some past honor and prove a point.These Lizards don’t give a rats ass about morality or anything else. Beating Phil will prove nothing to the Lizards except Phil sucks as a fighter…..so they will just shoot the cat for crying out loud.Every so often we see this side of Wally. He failed in the Teacher episode and now wants to prove he can change things. He needs to assess the situation…..get Holly and whoever else wants to go……out of that place.Better to loose some face than your life.Even if he wins the fight then what? Have a winning meal of scrambled eggs?? I can understand his current feelings but he has no knowledge about anything else like Sarah and Holly. I hope Holly gives him the story of this place.They can discuss it while he enjoys his eggs….over easy….salsa style. (Helps hide the body parts)

I dunno….I watched a few games of Australian Football…..they were leading with their heads too and biting.Given the impact the armor absorbs more than it impacts however you do make a point. It does add weight to the factor in the impact which is what does the damage.The old Weight Times Speed formula. The bigger the number the greater the momentum at impact.Of course one could break a fingernail at Tiddly Winks. What needs to be removed is the pure aggression that some players feel the need to apply. Like the investigation going on for one player twisting the ankles of those he tackled. No need if they are down. Let go but the footage shows him twisting the ankle beyond the tackle in a very obvious attempt to disable and take out the player. Like shots to the knees just because. I wore braces to protect mine when I played and I did take some vicious hits to the knee area that I knew were intentional. It does not have to be a violent tackle to be good. But just like auto racing folks come for the crashes….folks want to see the vicious impact or they are not entertained.

Pound for pound a cat is hard to beat.

As a Dune fan, and from what we’ve seen coming from the kitchen to our heros, I predict Wally’s meals before the battle will have a nice sedative/narcotic offering.

The odds on it being a fair fight seem slim. Just like real life where the vote can depend on who counts them. These lizards are viscious, arrogant, hateful, and just plain mean. I can would like to see Wally rub the ground with Phil, but I don’t trust the reptilians more. He does forget about Holly and what she needs and what the rest of his companions need. I hope Holly can talk sense into him, or just bring on the rescue team with an offer he can refuse.Agree with TSOJ about HOlly.

Actually, Phil may surprise us. He doesn’t like the idea of the other lizards accusing him of not being able to take on a non-lizard without cheating. He might go out of his way to make this a fair fight just out of pride.

I think that Chic knows about the sedative/narcotic effect, or at least he knows something. That’s why he had Irving pass the note warning him not to eat the eggs (and what else would the kitchen send Wally?)
