Rednecks say "git’, not “get”.

“Git r done!” – a phrase consisting of two and a half words; making hard working rednecks sound like idiots for roughly twenty years.

Redneck speak—I gotta git somma them thar tars on ma pickem up. Translation—I have to get some of those tires installed on my pickup truck.

Google “redneck dictionary jeff foxworthy”. He has two volumes.

My older daughter’s first going-to-the-theatre movie was “Cars”, when she was 3. She didn’t get why I was laughing when Mater (voiced by Larry the Cable Guy) said, “Git ’er done!” She does now.

Git ’er done is an expression which succinctly embodies the concept of accomplishing the task at hand.

Also interesting to note, once a word is added to a dictionary, it almost always remains..Right or wrong, words tend to remain in use for a very long time after they were first uttered, and often become a natural part of our language.
