Some times, it’s better not to stir the pot. Just leave what’s at the bottom down there.

Nothing to say, I would expect Wally to do this, and will spend the weekend hoping Holly runs him down and stops him. If I Recall Correctly(IIRC), Wally ceded authority to Holly sometime back and never reclaimed it. Yes dear, I am goiing the direction you ordered. All I can do is suggest we all support the artist anyway we can, whether through one of the links to the right of the comments for book at Amazon, Merchandise at Cafe Press, or Prints and or donations through the auction site, or visit Endtown Underground or at Aaron’s Secret Files which also contain some of Aaron’s other work, and a DONATION button. Remember to follow and support Doc Rat with your votes and donations, he too has a Donation button on his site, because Jenner has been a really strong supporter of Endtown. I can never thank Jenner, Level_Head, SurfStuff55 and TSOJ enough for all their patience, forebearance, and welcoming support to our little fambly here at Endtown. T Hey, we are willing to take in a lot more people, so share Endtown and Doc Rat with your friends. TSOJ is responsible for the little bit of good coding I can do, and initiated the CAT project to get Aaron a tablet, referred to me by Surfie, who did a wonderful job getting that medical fund moving. Just mentioning those ignores several strong supporters of Aaron and Endtown. . Vote ENDTOWN . Vote Doc Rat . Vote Hubris . Vote Kevin and Kell . Sincerely, Respectfully and Fraternally . JusSayin

PS: Night-Gaunt49 is suspended again, so if you want, you can drop GoComics a request for reinstatement. The whole point of free speech is to allow people you may not agree with to be heard, and although N-G49, has strong opinions, I don’t think he should be suspended for being unpopular, and challenging people he disagrees with. I often disagree with him, and he has strong opinions, but I can sometimes tell his opinions were well researched and thought through(sometimes), even if he is wrong. We don’t have to agree with others to value them as equals under the Constitution of the USA. Rant Over, Thanks for Your Consideration

Looking back to the beginning of book 3, Wally has gotten way cuter. Gotta love that riled tail!

I didn’t realize that the kid was a just a kid. If those eggs are from his mom, that’s just so twisted…

Take it from someone who knows: Cats may seem all cute and cuddly, but if you get one really riled, you’d be better off teasing a skunk!

If Wally is truly as angry as he appears, and remains that way, he could cause some serious damage.

Wally’s a real fighter. Got to admire that. Though picking a fight with your hosts in the middle of Lizard Cult Central is inviting a whole lot of trouble.

If you’re wondering why Wally’s eyes are crooked, it’s the way he has always been drawn. Aaron Neathery said he draws him with a permanent twitch in the left eye, a nervous tic reminscent of Colonel Darling In Blackadder Goes Forth. Along with the missing tooth, it is a legacy of the traumas he underwent in his years of wandering alone in the desert.Yes, our kitty Wally has a past, quite a dreadful one.I just can’t help worrying that in the short term, he is going to get “Chickboy” into more trouble. Maybe himself and the whole of the gang. He’ll be seen as a slave complaining about mistreatment, or maybe a steak complaining about the tenderizer.

Looks like Wally is going to be testing his “mutant healing abilities” again. Can anyone name a character in this strip who has been beat on (and knocked out) more times than Wally? Although he can think quickly, he does get hotheaded and will sometimes wade into trouble. Here, he has no idea what he’s getting into. This can’t be survival skill he learned while living on the surface alone. Incidents that come to mind are: hit in hotel room; fight with Phlask; roughed up by rats; smacked by Sarah….any more?

This is NOT going to end well. Wally: Good intentions but wrong outcome. I mean… I think there ’s a whole lot of sadness coming up.

@Jenner:Exactly. And there will be repercussions. If Sarah is in debt now for damages caused by her “charges”, any outbreak of violence in the kitchen isn’t going to make that debt go away any faster.

At this point, I don’t think a lot of us are too concerned about Sarah’s debt. She’s done nothing but complain ever since she and Jim first appeared. And, of course, neither of them are doing anything to stop Wally from getting into trouble (even though that means THEY’LL be in trouble by proxy).

Yeah, that’s Wally for you, recklessly sticking up for what’s right without thinking through all the consequences. Meanwhile the poor waiter is just going “will SOMEBODY please ORDER something, already?”

With all this ruckus they’re causing, I’m surprised they haven’t drawn a crowd yet.

Wally may make things worse for Dondi, but if people like Wally don’t come along to pull them out of bad situations, people like Dondi will be stuck in them indefinitely. In “Inferno” by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle, the main character finds himself going throughout Hell pulling people from their condemnations so they can move on. This is apparently Wally’s role. Many people can’t escape their situations without the help of others. They think they’re not worth redemption and remain in their circle of Hell of their own volition. Redeemers like Wally show them they’re worth saving and worth fighting for themselves. Dondi needs someone to fight for him and with him or he continues to get beaten or eaten.

You could take the mutation thing further, too. Maybe they’ve perfected the process and can turn anybody they want—-say, their supposed criminals or non-reptilian mutants—-and convert them into female egg layers.

But what of their boon companions, Jim and Sarah? Are they inclined to get involved in a case of child abuse?

Over and above any altercation, I suspect our heroes are going to have a “solent green is people” moment and things will get really ugly.
