…maybe FOX is realizing that the Christ lackeys aren’t buying product the way the used to,so they are going on a anti-prove God kick to get them kickstarted to buy more at Wal*Mart…wait!…I’m a Christian…better go buy some more cheap imported socks just to be safe…

Real Christians learn and revel in science because it’s just revealing more of the glory and beauty of God’s creation.

I find the first panel hilarious, maybe because I know people I can imagine acting like that.

Except its not “true” it is a fact wether you believe it or not, but doesn’t have to be true, since it has to be testable and can be put up for further tests and change at a later date – as such not being a definable truth.

Good one, Neil! Now tell us some “truths” about phlogiston and luminiferous aether.

Just because the ideologues on one side are full of crap doesn’t mean the ones on the other side aren’t also.

    @ Night-Gaunt49:

Creationism isn’t science. Science asks “Why”. Creationism says “Because God made it that way. Now sit down and shut up.”

I don’t know about that. The night the Aurora Borealis could be seen this far south, the 11 o’clock news on our local Fox affiliate decided to lead off with a story on the dangers of broken balloons. Saving the “pink cloud” for the end of the broadcast.

@ Born in the USA: I find it hard to believe that a God who creates diversity and beauty can act as vindictively or as pettily as JHWH does in the Old Testament. As for the New Testament, well, if you knew how AND WHEN it was put together, you’d have your doubts.

People might call me an atheist, but they really mean non-Christian. I believe that there is a God who created the universe somehow. I believe that evolution occurs. I believe that evolution is not the complete story, that a God of beauty and diversity has directly or indirectly created the variety of life you see. I do not believe that this God requires any worship; that a God that requires worship is not worthy of it.

There’s a difference between a god who says “You must worship me; or you will be punished forever” and a god who says “You can worship me; nothing bad will happen to you if you don’t, though”.<>God isn’t at war with Satan in the book of Job; Satan is still allowed to visit Heaven. And God is the one who inflicts the plagues on Job, not Satan, on a bet with Satan. If that’s not evil on God’s part, I don’t know what is.
