…maybe FOX is realizing that the Christ lackeys aren’t buying product the way the used to,so they are going on a anti-prove God kick to get them kickstarted to buy more at Wal*Mart…wait!…I’m a Christian…better go buy some more cheap imported socks just to be safe…

Real Christians learn and revel in science because it’s just revealing more of the glory and beauty of God’s creation.

I find the first panel hilarious, maybe because I know people I can imagine acting like that.

Except its not “true” it is a fact wether you believe it or not, but doesn’t have to be true, since it has to be testable and can be put up for further tests and change at a later date – as such not being a definable truth.

Good one, Neil! Now tell us some “truths” about phlogiston and luminiferous aether.

Just because the ideologues on one side are full of crap doesn’t mean the ones on the other side aren’t also.

The various Fox and NGS channels aren’t run the same way as FOX “News.”

    Except that Creationism isn’t—-

    Testable
    Predictable
    Useful

Creationists spend more time tearing down Evolution than actually showing the usefulness Creationism/ID is to science. Which it isn’t and why they avoid that part.

He did and shows how Science proved that they didn’t exist by showing what did exist in their stead.
    -
Gods always hide in the unknown, because when they are discovered no gods or spirits or angels or demons or pixies are there to make things work.

    @ Night-Gaunt49:

Creationism isn’t science. Science asks “Why”. Creationism says “Because God made it that way. Now sit down and shut up.”

I don’t know about that. The night the Aurora Borealis could be seen this far south, the 11 o’clock news on our local Fox affiliate decided to lead off with a story on the dangers of broken balloons. Saving the “pink cloud” for the end of the broadcast.

The real issue is whether or not we have a Creator, a Being Who not only created us, but to Whom we owe our obedience. Evolutionists are by and large atheists. They do not wish to admit there is a God we must answer to one day. Therefore, the fallacious idea that this incredible cosmos just sprang out of nothing (how does nothing suddenly produce something) is comforting to them because they don’t wish to admit to the idea of a Creator, mostly because they wish to do what they want to do rather than submit to God’s ordinances and laws.

For the Christian, it’s all about knowing that a divine hand moved to create everything and that He has left us a revelation of who He is in the Bible.

@ Born in the USA: I find it hard to believe that a God who creates diversity and beauty can act as vindictively or as pettily as JHWH does in the Old Testament. As for the New Testament, well, if you knew how AND WHEN it was put together, you’d have your doubts.

People might call me an atheist, but they really mean non-Christian. I believe that there is a God who created the universe somehow. I believe that evolution occurs. I believe that evolution is not the complete story, that a God of beauty and diversity has directly or indirectly created the variety of life you see. I do not believe that this God requires any worship; that a God that requires worship is not worthy of it.

I used to wrestle with the same thing. One day, I realized something. God in the OT is at war with evil. He has promised a Savior to redeem our fallen world, but the evil one does not want to have this happen. So there is a state of constant warfare going on between good (God) and evil (Devil). This explains why some of the things that are in the OT are hard to understand.

In the NT, the war is won because the Cross has brought victory over evil. The whole relationship with mankind changes because of the Cross.

As for worship — have you ever heard a man tell a woman that he worships her? It’s a way of expressing profound love or adoration of someone who means a lot to the man. Worship is simply us saying to God “I love you.” What’s the problem with that? Don’t you wish to hear that from those who are important in your life?
