Homer the Reluctant Soul continues. Bert: So the slave trade clients were lost in the destruction of Pompeii... Homer: Yeah...so Signora Spietato had to cut costs...me! Woman: *sigh* Just feed him to the pigs... Man: Sure...what few that are still left, thanks to the wolves. Homer: Wait...you have a wolf problem? I can help you with that! I told them that a lifetime of herding sheep gave me experience in fending off wolves and I could build a system that would protect their livestock...and buy me time... Homer: Now all I need is live bait to put in the woods. Woman: Hmm...toss him the cheapest animal we can spare. Man: As you wish, Signora. Bert: Whoa... Duncan: Dude...seriously? Homer: I know...right? I couldn't believe it was working either!

Not sure where this is going……but I’m thinking he’s set a trap for the inn keeper OR he sacrifices himself to save the girl either way it’s going to be a long wait to the next episode!

What, it’s Groundhog Day AGAIN? Seems like it was just yesterday! Cue “I Got You Babe” (ever notice how some events remind you of something you can’t shake off?)

Dukedoug, a wood chuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could, if a woodchuck could chuck wood…

Perhaps you should look again. It’s St. Bert, by the way, Homer’s Past Life Review counselor.

Talk about lack of understanding and communication.A girl was killed and you bozo put the idea into their head.

If they’re so great on Punxsutawney Day, why aren’t all weather-casters rodents?

I usually love this strip but this Sunday series is boring. Need to move on!

What an absolutely dreadful thing to do to wolves!

Think of it this way, then. the holiday was actually called Imbolc (pronounced "immoke) by the pagans of old and marked the halfway point between the solstice and equinox. It was one of four major holidays celebrating those halfway points along with Beltane, Lughnasadh, Samhain. For me, it is an additional holiday…..my birthday. Not important to anyone else, I admit, but still a significant day. :-)

How much wood would a Wood Duck chuck . . .

Either Homer’s a complete and utter idiot who will sacrifice the woman for his own life, or he’s playing those slavers for fools as he gets them to free him and the woman without them realizing it.

Or as I like to say …
How much fud could a fudpucker puck if a fudpucker could puck fud?

If this thing doesn’t end next Sunday, I’m dropping the strip.

As Walt Kelly would say;“How much ground round would a hound dog hog if a groundhog were ground round?”

So we now understand why Homer the reluctant soul will continue to be reincarnated. Worst karma ever….
