    I wonder if both Andy and his mother-in-law can read each other’s penmanship.

    I wish my mother-in-law would lose her voice. Oh what honey, yes I fixed the lock in your mother’s door. (Now I can lock it from the outside. )

    I got on with my MIL, it was my own mother that drove me to the wine bottle. Not a happy woman, that. Didn’t like me either, Told me every day that she didn’t want children (1) but my dad insisted. What, gee thanks!

    I can see Andy and Flo’s mum losing their voices from yelling at each other, but from the flu? Anyone ever lost their voice from the flu? I’ll give Mahoney 1 point for the crane in the background, but that only gets the strip up to a 2.5.

    @Gweedo Murray

    Gweedo Murray said (via Great Qwee-dough’s Ghost), about 12 hours ago

    It has been English raining here this week and my little buddy has been hanging out under the overhang lately. I have enough odds and ends (junk?) that he finds a dry spot and parks. I have looked in on him several times today. I moved toward him one time and he moved over, so I didn’t push it. I’m thinking we’ll not get that close again as he is no longer naive and innocent. Childhood is quickly slipping away…… -I say with certainty that we all have old experiences that are best left to gather dust and let fade in the rearview mirror. To relive some experiences can only cause bitterness and/or sadness. Move on and be happy ! -Tammy went home to Michigan, but didn’t stay as long as I thought she might. She bought me a jar of “sugar beet jam” at the Amish store but couldn’t bring it back on the plane since it is a container containing 8 oz. or more of a liquid despite being “factory sealed”. Her sister is coming out in November and will bring it with her. I gave a big ol’ jar of salsa to Ken, my comics strip reprints books library; I gave the other one for general shop use. Bob told me that his group will be playing at the Isabel Farm Stand Saturday. (Hippy) Paul left to go to school so that he can become an addictions counselor. I believe personal life experience is part motivator. The new guy plays guitar, mandolin and fiddle. should be interesting to hear how that will shakeout.-I saw the comment you referred to. Not kind, but I have seen worse by creatures who are allowed to wander the neighborhood as unchained vicious dogs re; our very own resident mosquito. I-we, have left a pretty fine piece over at Dick Tracy that has gotten good reviews.-..Taking an opportunity to say, Thank You Three, for your part in posting those nuggets. The little tack on bits the boys add make the Classics pop !

    Your comment cheered me up a lot. I wouldn’t mind talking about the fun times of my childhood if I could remember it all. But then I would get a certain person saying to me “There are no mention of childhood or fun times in today’s strip”-That was really nice of Tammy to get you a little gift. Hope she enjoyed her time with family.-Sorry for bringing politics to Andy Capp. Yesterday was the first and last time.-Best of Luck to ‘Hippy Paul’! I hope he manages to get that position. What is the new guy’s name?-You are welcome for the old Smythe classics I used to post. I would still post them but you know what they say… “Three’s a crowd”-May your Thursday be an awesome day and thank you again for your comment.

    And yes, I know there isn’t an “E” in pony, but, it’s because Mahoney has one, just a Toilet isn’t really spelled Toylette

    Maybe in the future, “Toylette” could be “Dimwitt” or “Nitwitt”?^^I think (?) I may have used Dimwit already

    I took some gentle nudging about my earlier comment. Yes I was playing to a stereotype. I truly love my MIL and now that she lives with us I don’t want her to leave. When recovering from my back surgery, she was indispensable. Some days, though———
