We’re experiencing the founders worst nightmare with a nation incapable of addressing the common good … paralyzed — consumed with partisan hatred — unable to compromise to serve the best interests of we the people.
I took it that the root of all those refugees lies in what is happening in other countries, and the US is making it worse. Now that Mexico has elected a new president, it behooves us to eliminate the reason there are refugees from Central America. Simply, there will be fewer refugees when there are fewer reasons to flee these countries..
Wait, what? Obama overthrew the government of Honduras? How? When? In 2009?
You’re not talking about Hillary’s emails, are you Ted? That publicly they supported Zalaya (despite allegations that he was illegally modifying the Constitution) but behind the scenes they were going along with his removal? This is what you’re talking about here?
Rall is becoming a proponent of classic whataboutism. Too bad, because there is so much more of immediate importance to discuss than the past. We need to be making ideas and plans for the future, not fixating on blame on those in the past.
Is that in comparison to how well the right presents a unified front goose stepping behind Herr Drumpf? BTW, what are you talking about? When Rall criticizes Obama he is not going off the reservation. He is criticizing a right of center president.
SHHH!!!! You’re not allowed to mention that. As a rule of thumb, Democrats are infallable, and Republicans are complicit, no exceptions. On a serious note, look how Ted’s getting attacked for pointing out the obvious. You folks are pathetic.
Wow, I thought the comments would be 100% in favour of Ted’s cartoon. That was a shocker. Yes, like I am at times, Ted is extreme and pushes the envelope, but once I get over the “sting” of some of his cartoons, I still feel there is “food for thought,” which means he is doing amazing things with his creative talents. I have often got pissed off by many of his cartoons, but am still a huge fan because he pushes my buttons and makes me think.
My interpretation of this cartoon is Obama was not perfect, he was not Jesus Christ returning to earth. Ted’s not necessarily comparing Obama to Trump, but pointing out that nearly all the presidents are not always what they seem. Plenty of bad shit went down during Obama’s watch. Plenty of good went down too!

Spot on. Denial isn’t just a river in Egypt, mainstream liberals and Democrats.

American destruction of South America has been going on for a long time.
The US military backed United Fruit, people threw things at Vice President’s Nixon’s car when he went down there.
Reagan’s Contras murdered teachers and nuns.
Jerk Trump went to far and got caught being fascist.
Resist the Republican destruction of American and human values.

Let me know how this “Obama was the same as Trump” storyline works out for you, Ted.

George Carlin said it 50 years ago. There is only one party, The Money Party. We can do something about it. Just ask Joe Crowley.

Funny to watch you lefties eat your own. Ted Rall is consistently supportive of the ideas from the left. And you cheer and celebrate when he is.
But let him go off the reservation and show you an ugly, ugly reality and you all go berserk. You folks are not presenting well.
