I just want to know how this benefits Wezil. My guess is after all have run off, Wezil will be getting something that’ll make him rich (in the “jungle” sense of that word). Maybe the “god” will command that all the virgins come back and the men stay away. (Well, hey, wouldn’t you?)

Tarzan figures this out in 2 minutes but not a bunch of natives that witness this on a regular basis. Tarzan probably saw the Wizard of Oz.
