When I went to summer school in 1969 the janitorial staff had all the lockers open to air them out. Now there was a smell !

People use tanning lotion? I thought it was the smell of sunblock.

Go Alix! At least you’re down to earth. I smell dogs needing walks and lawns needing mowing in your direction. Snicker snicker….

There’s nothing better then the smell of fresh cut grass on a cool summer morning. Boy that brings back good memories!

Fresh cut grass, Yes! But even better, the smell of burning leaves in the side yard. THAT is the smell of the year.
RinaFarina about 15 years ago
@pearlandpeach, burning leaves is the smell of the fall, not the summer.
Holly can be very lyrical when she is moved by something!

My favorite smell in the summer was chlorine. It meant the City pool was getting ready to open!
