   Our 5yo daughter “escaped” from her father while I was with our 9yo son at soccer practice. She walked 4 blocks and was picked up by a policeman who took her home (very small town). Her father was shocked – he didn’t even know she was gone!

   Next time put your stuff in their bags and don’t pay for them. If they notice, explain why. I’ve never been questioned or checked at the door, except at Costco.

   I have been standing in a long line for a human cashier and have a worker guide me to the self checkout and scan my groceries for me. ??? I guess it was because I’m old, but what was the point? We tend to go shopping early so it cuts down the time waiting in line – which I will do rather than using the self checkout.

   I hang all my laundry – even underwear and socks – on hangers to dry. My pants and shirts are polyester blend and don’t even need “fluffing”. Folding towels is very relaxing and can be done while watching “Ask this Old House”.
