The problem is his executive order has set up a situation where another law will be violated in twenty days. His order causes the whole family to be incarcerated together. We have a law on the books that says you can’t jail children for more than twenty days. He also has already ripped thousands of kids away from their parents, some as young as one year. They have shipped them all over the country to facilities. In many cases, it will be very difficult or impossible to reunite these kids with their parents because they didn’t keep track of who they are or where they went. Of course, they can’t undo the trauma these kids have already been subjected to.

Fits. “Hands are tied. Can’t do it.” means “I’m lying again. Still. Whatever. Can I go back to playing golf now?”

On Sunday, Trump smugly stated that he could do nothing about the kids in the tents, that he was merely following a law written by the Democrats, and unless the Democrats negotiated with him to abolish that law ( and give him his border wall) that he was helpless. On Tuesday, he suddenly had the power to just decide that he was going to ignore the law, as the Bush and Obama did, because he was standing up to those mean old Democrats to protect the kids. What the -- happened on Monday to suddenly give him the power to be president?

The dumb-ass KNOWS he’s more then likely cost the Republicans control of the Senate, and quite possibly the House in the mid-terms.

Don’t be fooled. This executive order is a con. It doesn’t solve the problem, and it may even make the situation worse, if it’s used to keep families, including children, in detention. We need to see Trump withdraw his original policy change. He doesn’t need an executive order to do that.

I saw Melania’s callous couture at the border today. You would think that a simple FLOTUS visit to check on a difficult situation wouldn’t be something that even the trumps could get wrong, but oh no.
