Then when they want to listen to their Walkmans and iPods, they’ll use earphones that cup over the ears?

Just can’t do that. The ear hair grows at a pace that I can feel and hear!

Pluggers are smarter than you think. New hearing aids often have Bluetooth. You can listen to media, you can talk on your phone, and do other things without an extra headset.

Weird how Medicare doesn’t cover hearing aids, but they covered Orgone Accumulators during TFG’s administration.

Back in the ’70’s my hard rocker ex-brother-in-law listened to music using a bone phone resting on his neck and collar-bones.

I am a plugger and do not need a hearing aid. My hearing is very good and I even hear things that maybe I shouldn’t because people do not realize that I can hear them. What really irks me is getting those ads in the mail for a free hearing test and wanting to sell me a hearing aid. Why do those companies think that just because I am old I need a hearing aid?

Looks like the earphone I had for my old Zenith transistor radio in the 60’s.

Fortunately, some types of in-ear phones can be frequency-tailored to correct for hearing deficiencies. Some advanced phone apps can even do real-time noise reduction and sound localization. In other words, they can be set to make someone sitting across from you more intelligible while cancelling out other sounds. Still, it’s better not to blow out your hearing in your 20s.
