What parent does not lock up medicines—-especially when there are very young children in the home.

Ruthie should be lucky that it was only aspirin and that Poison Control was involved…

Modern aspirin as a chewable? For decades now it’s only been marketed to adults (thanks to the rare but terrible Reye’s syndrome), but maybe some adults prefer sweet chewables or worse, a gummie version?

My sister ate a bunch of orange-flavored aspirin and mom gave her mustard water to throw it up

At her age she should be taken to a hospital and have her stomach pumped.

Jeez, relax Mom. It was one little baby aspirin. No, she shouldn’t take it if she doesn’t need it, but the same is true for vitamins (in other words, no extra doses). I’m sure that one little aspirin won’t hurt her.

Maybe the reason a lot of medicine tastes bad is to discourage kids from consuming it without necessity.

It’s easier to put the pills in your mouth and wash them down with a gulp of water. I have to take a lot of meds, none of which taste good.
