My biggest worry about cases like these is the precedent it sets. If he is acquitted, then it becomes easier for people to play vigilante. We don’t need that; we need a rule of law, not a rule of whoever has the most guns.

Vigilante justice has returned and it won’t be pretty!

Well, it turns out that he was NOT illegally carrying it. And it turns out that he only fired in self defense against people who were assaulting him. Despite the large number of protesters in the area he didn’t shoot any of them.

Not true. The defense argued that those shot should not have assaulted him in the first place. He did not pursue anyone – in fact, he was running away from his assailants.
