We’ve seen this exact thing in a nearby school district. Had a great administrator who was a little bit to the left of the community loudmouths. They got together last November and put in a couple of single-issue schoolboard members who promptly, without any warnings or explicit paperwork fired her “for cause” and installed a puppet. Kids are the losers here, ESPECIALLY the kids who happen to be LGBTQ. Or black. Or female… or males with long hair…

This is actually the way for an extremist philosophy to gain real power, to start at the local level. In this case, they get the added bonus of indoctrinating future generations also.

Where are all the voters who: Realize the world doesn’t revolve around them. Understand that health and education is the basis for prosperity for any individual, family and country. That hate is taught. For our Constitution to work for everybody requires compromise. That unlimited growth is the ideology of cancer. Get out and vote for people whose actions reflect the above.

I have never understood how people don’t realize the many people claiming to be Christians actually serve Satan. Their behavior, anger, prejudice, cruelty, selfishness, mistreatment of others….how does anyone think these people have any meaningful relationship with Christ?

If these parents are so upset with the school’s curriculum, why don’t they homeschool instead? Probably because they are too lazy and not well enough educated themselves…

Inherit The Wind was released in 1960 showing what was thought to be a previous America, ruled by the religious hysterical & conservative dogma instead of facts & truth. Today’s GOP shows they want to return the country not to 1925, but to 1625

We have returned to 1860. Part of the white population are ready to go to war with the legitimately elected government over race issues. They claim “states rights” are an issue where their elected representatives are posturing against health and legislative issues trying to move our country forward. Maybe, they think, if they can get people to refuse getting vaccinated, the pandemic will continue and make the Biden administration look like a failure. If public safety can’t be reformed and police can continue to get away with bad behavior, it will keep the kettle boiling, justifying the white supremacists to declare governments at all levels are invalid. On TV you see people smiling, declaring their is going to be another civil war. You see major newspapers like the Wall Street Journal publishing the former guy’s screed, all lies that have been debunked multiple times, and rejected in the courts. Makes you ask the question, “Are we just one election away from dissolution of our Republic?”

You only think it’s mud by ignoring the stink is taunting the propaganda that most Americans support the Turd Reich, just like the Nazis did in the 30’s (shocking, ain’t it?), but he conveniently forgets that Dolt .45 lost (again, shocking, ain’t it?)

The uneducated ignorant parents telling the school board what to teach, and also demonstrating their calm rational demeanor. And how dare you give my kid an F just because he does not know how to use commas, periods, and capitals, or write a coherent sentence.

Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose: I’m re-reading Stephen Bates’s 1993 Battleground: One Mother’s Crusade, the Religious Right, and the Struggle for Control of Our Classrooms, describing the 1980s kerfuffle in which a mother in Church Hill TN “found” that the elementary-school reader offended her Christian sensibilities and could lead her children away from God (or at least her conception of Him). https://books.google.ca/books/about/Battleground.html?id=VHuRAAAAMAAJ

Our society is changing. The conservatives don’t understand the new world so they are afraid, they are afraid of being left behind, so they are acting out in an effort to stop the world from changing.

CRT is racist hands down. MLK wanted people to be judged on the content of their character, but some people’s characters are just plain ugly.

Alcaraz is not a cartoonist but a propagandist, no nuance, no subtle humor. Another lefty Democrat talking head with only one point of view. And I am Hispanic, too, so don’t give me that “you are a Trumper bigot” BS you libs like to spew whenever you encounter anyone with a different point of view.
