Mark Twain told of his most eventful campaign while a Confederate soldier. He was on a patrol with a company consisting of six Brigadier Generals and one Corporal, that being Cpl. Sam Clemons. They surprised a Union soldier who had been separated from his unit, and at 7-to-1 odds made short work of him. Twain described it as the most glorious rebel victory of the war, the Yankee forces being vanquished to their last man without the loss of a single Confederate life.

Brilliant. Except to those who don’t find it funny. They’re just scary.

I imagine the “Flat Earthers” would fit in the Trumper column, and one militia or another. Yes, they DO exist. My husband talked to one recently. And the moon is only 50 miles away. Really, the guy said that, too.

My teacher son had an extremely irate parent call because in world history class, the fact that Jesus was a Jew was mentioned. She was incensed because everyone know Jesus was a Christian. If you truly want a hint at how we’ve descended into idiotocracy (and I think I’ve misspelled that), talk to teachers about what comes up at parent conferences (like the parent who told me he knew his daughter’s essay was well-written because he had written it).

I heard there’s a REPRINT TOMORROW….

What’s REALLY SCARY is that I know of people in the county where I live that would GET IN LINE to be able to fill that out… if they could find a friend to help them with the spelling, that is!
