actually, rat may be right on this one…my two best buds in high school were comic strip artists and they were as alone on friday night as i was…(the three of us were on the phone with each other a lot)

Well, a lot of us were like that, but we didn’t all make it to syndicated cartoonist fame. My little cartoons, which I thought were quite clever, and did make everyone I showed them to snicker, never made it out of high school. Sigh.

Not only does Rat wise off to cartoon-Pastis (who wields an eraser!), but he has also nipped Pig’s potential cartooning career in the bud. Not sure if we should be sad about that or relieved….

Well, Rat is a rat…

I hope that Rat is not Mr. Pastis alter ego. Rat is the epitome of adversity..

Considering Rat’s failure to get any of his attempts at a comic strip to be picked up by any syndacate, he may want to shut up when talking to someone more succesful than himself. And then let’s consider his dating track record. Uh….. Oh yeah, Pig’s sister Farina, the germaphobic bubble girl who dumbed Rat for Ziggy (among others) because he’s a “real man.”

Toon Boy causes his own comeuppance.

Rat is starting to sound like Bucky in “Get Fuzzy”.

[Soapbox Mode] I have always hated jokes based on this premise. First of all, it assumes that we have this monolithic Mass of Womanhood, with absolutely no differentiating characteristics whatsoever, and all of whom share the exact same set of desires in terms of what they find attractive in a man..Second of all, it likewise assumes that any male who dares to live beyond the norm, even a little bit, thus inherently and irrecovably becomes completely unattractive to any female anywhere. These stereotypes thus sell both sexes short and just reduce them to caricatures..Yes, this is a comic strip where such things are de riguer, but still…[/SBM]
