Not true at all. He has a second job of getting re-elected.

I don’t get this cartoon. I don’t know what he means by Gray. This must be about local politics in Washington. But Toles is still one of the most clever cartoonists. I agree with him usually every day.

Since the House recently refused to allow the sole (non-voting) member representing DC to even be allowed to speak on proposal directedly related to governance of DC we should hardly be surprised. Disenfranchized people commonly turn to “crime”, and even when they don’t are often accused of it. DC today is sounding more and more like a Black kid in the South in the ’30’s.

Republicants are doing their level best to disenfranchise anyone who doesn’t vote for them and their fascist agenda:i.e. the poor, minorities and the smart.

Do you have sources for this? It sounds too good to be true.

Mixing up Southern Democrats before the 1970’s in your little rant shows your ignorance of history as much as failing to capitalize the word “Democrat” when referring to political party affiliation, shows your ignorance of grammar. You start your rant with a silly all purpose smear and end it with some kind of vague innuendo. (Don’t you remember who Gorbachev is and doesn’t your computer do spell check?) In between you push the abortion “hot button”. No, Democrats don’t encourage abortion and certainly don’t force it on anyone. And since when would supporting communism make someone a fascist?

I just remembered why I never read the comments on political cartoons.

And the Dixiecrats are the ones who by and large became Republicans in the 1960’s. Johnson purportedly said that he “signed away the South” when he signed civil rights legislation.
