I must confess that I read his comment yesterday shortly after it posted, and my initial inclination was to dash off an angry, nasty reply. I allowed him to really get under my skin. So, instead of responding to him, I shut down the ol’ laptop, and called it a day. I would like to say “Kudos” to all of you for responding. Each one was well put! You did us all proud!
to cwilds450 : I would like to add that no one, including you, can presume to know how any one of us chooses to observe a solemn day of remembrace like Memorial Day, or even if we are all from the same country. You did not know if any one of us is a veteran, or if any of our relatives and/or friends are veterans, whether we’ve lost love ones who were in the service, and whether we’ve spent the better part of Memorial Day or any other day dealing with grief and precious memories. You really don’t know any of this. That I, and others, choose to spend a few minutes here and there, contributing to a silly story and having some fun with it isn’t any different than choosing to read the comics and accompanying comments to pass a little time during the day….kind of like what you did!(?) I would hope that you could reflect upon this and consider an apology to people that you didn’t know, but insulted anyway. I would hope that, indeed. And, I would invite you to join us if you could see things from a different perspective. However, if you cannot see that you not only presumed too much, but were also rude and nasty, then please, take your unpleasantness elsewhere.

I’ve been roaming around other parts of town, cleaning up broken balloons, escaped turke ….oh… never mind about those…. ..um…oh, nothing, why?…. and various other bits of debris that escaped from Ballard St.
It’s absolutely amazing how far a supposedly flightless bi ..a balloon can fly….and the mess they can make!To say nothing of the pot pie tins and beer bottles all over the bus station.
