    Lucky he didn’t also have an air swing involved in moving the ball that distance as he would be on his third shot.

    I disagree with most of you on both counts of dispargement being offered this morning and will just leave it at that. I have caddied for more than a few men who felt threatened by women who used the Blue Tees on a normal basis.

    KenTheCoffinDweller;

    Not being a Golf aficionado I must ask the following uninformed question; You comment implies that a “normal” (Men’s?) tee is Blue. If my interpretation of your comment is correct, is the Ladies’ tee Pink?

    Watching golf is great for inducing sleep. Playing it is great for making use of your four-letter-word vocabulary.

    His posture is wrong for the shot and I’m not enamoured with his grip.

    In Vegas it’s more expensive to golf in the summer.We have hot weather in the summer and better golf weather in the winter…

    Oh, and Grog and Ashburn, it’s called golf because all those other four letter words were already taken, especially one.

    In Australia we call it the ladies tee and it can be anywhere from a few yards to 80 or more in front of the men’s tee. If a man teeing off does not make it past the ladies tee on his drive then he has to buy the shout at the bar for the rest of his group.The reason it is closer to the green (little hole in the ground) is that women in general dont hit as far as men – that isnt sexist its fact – and this makes it more likely the women will have the same number of shots on the hole as the men and therefore keep the game moving.There was reference to the blue tees earlier and someone asked wht they were. In most clubs there are at least three coloured tee areas and sometimes four. There are the ladies (red) social (yellow) mens (white) and at some clubs further back again are the competition tees (black or blue) – the colours will vary from place to place but you get the idea.
