I had forgotten all about Frisbeetarionism! That’s the one that says that when you die your soul flies up on roof and you can’t get it down.

Yeah, when is Redfern going to realize that this is HIS kid and THIS is how he turned out? When does he go into self-questioning and wonder how he could have caused that…?

@too-zonkedI think you meant Ray Stevens’ “The Mississippi Squirrel Revival”“The day the squirrel ‘went buzzerk’ in the First Self-Righteous Church in that sleepy little town of Pascagoula.”

Looking ahead, remember Becca Bickle, Jeff’s book publisher? She is one of the characters in this comic that so many of you went bananas over. Don’t be too surprised if within the next few weeks she is the one who lowers the weight of reality onto Jeff. Becca works and apparently thrives in a use-em-then-lose-em business. Once the sales of Jeff’s book starts to wane and it becomes apparent Jeff won’t be able to come up with another, she and her company will dispose of Jeff like so much used Kleenex.`I think we all know what will happen to Jeff and his new digs after that.

“Jeff should fit right in, then since ALL religions are just cults feeding on the self-delusional, the weak, the helpless, the frightened, and hopefully, the rich!”.Except for the ones whose members donate their money and volunteer their personal time to feed and shelter the homeless, educate children, visit people in hospitals and in prison, and that sort of thing. (Oh, yeah…that’s most, if not all of them.).If that’s being self-deluded, weak, helpless, and frightened, I’ll take that in a heartbeat over what sounds like your proud, “I’ve got mine, sucks to be you” independence. You may also condescend to do charitable works, but please refrain from looking down on the motives of others who do them out of true humility and service to something (and Someone) greater than their own tiny selves.

“was not Rick a minister at one time?”

Are you thinking of Reverend Scott, back at Walden? They have a similar look, but they’re two different people. (Although Scottie DID want to date Joanie at one time, so in another world he could have been Jeff’s dad…)

I enjoyed your comment. I wish I had a way with words and could express philosophy in one short, powerful sentence as you have done. Thanks!.
