He’s not succeeding at jerking her around.

I think he’s lookin’ for some envy…and not gettin’ it.

He’s hung up on material possessions, just like the other “rich” folk. He’s obviously lost sight of what’s important.

Jeff versus Reality? Who’s really winning?

Now how exactly are they related? Second cousins or something? Or is this snot-nosed punk Alex’s uncle…?

Note the level of the liquid in Alex’s glass. Did she get a refill between panels 2 and 4? Did she spit into in the glass in panel 3?

I gotta remember…“I don’t judge…” priceless. Of course I DO… but I can SAY it…

Ha, Jeff’s getting the high school reunion treatment.

Maybe Alex’s detractors will have second thoughts about her.

Jeff’s trying to win Alex’s approval, just as he has always craved that of his father Rick.

Pathetically, those are the only “real” persons whose respect he seeks. Having decided Leo isn’t likely to take him seriously (as for instance brainless Zipper does), he tries his BS on Alex). His long-suffering mother, Joanie, doesn’t count, because Jeff’s infantile narcissism makes him look down on her.

Jeff resents his parents because they were both more into their careers than in raising him. He is trying to win Alex’s approval but that’s a lost cause since he dissed Leo.

If they weren’t related, I’d be convinced that Jeff’s hitting on Alex.Since they ARE related, I only suspect that he’s hitting on her.
