It’ll be interesting to see on Monday if he knows the words to the Far Strangled Banter any better!.I still wish we’d gone with The Maple Leaf Forever as our National Anthem. It’s a nicer song. (And don’t get me started on the flag, which should have BLUE bars (representing water) and a GREEN leaf, instead of being all Liberal red!!)

Destiny23, the flag’s colours surely had nothing to do with what would become the party’s colours. In most national flags, red represents the blood spilled by those who secured the country’s freedom. Besides, there really are red maples, as well as white and sugar maples. Probably some others, but those are the ones I know.Happy Canada Day to all Canadians, Canadiens, and Canucks!

Shika, I consider myself both a Canadian and an American so I can enjoy both holidays to the fullest. Here’s to you kiddo!

it just shows how adorable Rory is. he’s trying so hard and he’s so proud…sing it out loud Rory!!!! like a little kid singing….nothing is cuter than that! and I happen to like the red maple. I don’t liken it to liberal anything. I think of it as the red leaf in autumn…which is pretty dang cool to me. eh? Happy 144th Canada…thank you for all you’ve done for me….

…although I DO like “the Maple Leaf Forever” but then I prefer “America the Beautiful” over my home country’s “Star Spangled Banner”
