Hay they did it before (remember the last 8 years) and they can do it again. The Republicans want back into power, and if they have to do it using these type of people they will, just remember what they (the Republicans) did to all of those “Town Hall Meetings” on health care.

harley, please identify one single place you see Obama apologizing for being an American. And, for that matter, one single Marxist, Communist, or pedophile in the administration. Cripes, are you asking to be treated as a joke?

I agree with those who say we should look at what Obama has done because it will show us what he plans to do. Looking at the record is always a good idea.

So let’s look back over the last 8 years! The Republicans were completely in charge, they controlled the White House, Congress, and even the Supreme Court! So what did they do? Ran up huge debts, got us into two wars with no plans of why we were there and how to win the wars, ruined the economy, stood by while millions of jobs went over seas, let CEO’s salaries go crazy, spied on us, lied to us, and gave huge tax cuts to the rich.

Why should we expect them to change? Look what they are doing now– They offer no programs, no plans, no ideas, just attack Obama and hope he fails.

Lets look at their record, let them stand on their record, and fall on their record.

scott – 1) still haven’t said where Obama apologized for America. 2) Mao said quite a bit which is worthy of note – he took over the largest nation in the world, you know, one which was fragmented, in chaos, and under attack by the Japanese and ruthlessly pulled it together and focused it on moving forward. (Isn’t that what Bush was claiming to do?) If nothing else, you want to keep an eye what someone like that says - they’re dangerous. And as I understand it, he cribbed a lot from Confucius, who is well worth studying. STILL doesn’t mean that Anita Dunn is a Maoist, any more than I am a Marxist because I think Marx had some interesting things to say about economic history. (Not about real people, however!) 3) Why am I bothering? harley hasn’t responded. I doubt HQ will.

The right indeed wants the country Toles is nervous about, we would call it “Wackystan”.

Motive has a “food for thought” comment too, it WAS Japan that invaded China- of course China did get it’s tail whipped by “Mother Nature” when its invasion fleet headed for Japan got clobbered some time earlier.

Confucious, and Buddha, had some pretty cool things to say and got their words copped by not just Mao, but a number of later religious leaders.

Buddha’s views on the responsibilities of a king, or “leader” are also great wisdom the Bush administration and other Republicans, and some Democrats, could really learn from.

Google Cass Sunstein, Anita Dunn, Kevin Jennings, and Van Jones, those were just the first four of Obama’s right-hand czars that are absolutely, cerifiably more wacky than any of those coneheads holding up signs in the strip.

Sunstein - animal rights, population control, net and radio control, elimination of government recognized marriage.

Dunn - FoxNews is not legitimate news, we controlled the media’s presentation of Obama during the campaign, praise Mao.

Kevin Jennings - Let’s expand homosexual education in the schools, children should be careful not to talk about their experimentation with homosexual statutory rape, “by any means necessary” expand gay rights.

Van Jones - black radicals rule, Rodney King riots inspired him, hard-core communism for America. (media said he stepped down because of 9-11 Truther comments, which was only a small part of the picture).

Obama has Czars. Cheney had secret prisons, people who approved methods of torcher, people who had the power to hand out million dollar contracts to private companies with no bidding or review, all of the power of a Czar but not the title, in fact we didn’t even know they were doing this.

Bush had czars, and Obama actually kept many of them. Ahem, conservatives? I await your apology.

Apology? There will be no apology, the Republicans were never concerned about Czars, it was just another attack point – they just keep attacking, and we waste time replying – by the time we prove their point wrong they are on to their next attack point. Anything to keep us from looking back over the last 8 years, or realizing that the Republicans have no plans, policy, or ideas.

The US needs a mulitparty system. The only choices are left or right, while in reality most people are in the middle. The promising candidates are in the center of each party which is to the left and right of the center. The voters in turn have to choose for a side that will pull their middle of the road mentality further to the left or the right. With a mulitparty system, most of the parties are required to abandon their more fringe elements to be able to work with the majority. This system demands a consensus to be built, but this will never happen in the US because a multiparty system would mean that the American people will actually get a voice.

Charlie–are the teabaggers the Right’s fringe? I thought they were loyal followers of Rush and Glenn, in other words, mainstream Republicans (or “Conservatives,” which seems to be what former repubs who have some shame call themselves).
