Well, that is one way to whip through your work. Haku Kau’s T-shirt went from red to white since yesterday. It also looks like he has liver trouble, his skin has turned jaundiced. Looks like Lizz is using her blue cup today. I wonder if she has a different color for every day of the week? Hmm… I wonder if the other people on this forum are starting to affect me somehow? NAH!

Tracy is having WAY too much fun! Won’t last long, I figure….

When I was in Honolulu, I signed up to go on the tour of Chang Apana’s China town. Problem was that I was the only one!!!

A book on Apana that came out last year has a picture of him with Warner Oland, made up as Chan.

Wow, thanks for the info on Chang Apana. Until I got to GoComics today, I was trying to figure out the pun or double-meaning in his name, a la a typical DT character. The real Chang story sound like it would make a great movie.

Believe it or not but I got an email from Chang Apana’s granddaughter a few years ago.

Apana liked the Charlie Chan movies. There were plans for him to appear in one of them unfortunately he died before they could be realized.

Terry, it’s about time you plugged Shelley’s other work on here. Folks, Shelley is a great artist and writer in her own right. I’ve been working with her for many years myself.

Hey, believe it or don’t, I had the ORIGINAL comic book version of the Prune Face episode he talks about. She had Tracy tied to the floor between two block of ice with a spike stuck in a board under some weight..they saved him in the nick of time but he was a WRECK after…just sobbing in the back of the cruiser and who could BLAME him?? Meanwhile, Prunefaces’ minion was beaten to death by her for fooling with the whip… AMAZING panels…and in the NEWSPAPER believe it or not…Top THAT Tarantino…

This is comics at it’s best entertaining and informative. Thanks for the 411 on Det. Chang Apana!!!!
