Oh Anne wait until Richard is born. You’ll throw that organic stuff right out the window.

One does have to make allowances for her, Christopher is her first child.

This reminds me of how Wanda and Darryl from the comic Baby Blues treated their first daughter Zoe. But by Hammie it was completely normal. Normal for a comic that is.

I have bought “processed” foods, and my 2 girls (4 and 6) are already almost as tall as me (although I’m only 5’ tall).

I made my own baby food just because it was cheaper, but if we were out somewhere and hadn’t brought anything with us for the baby, I didn’t have any qualms about popping into a drugstore or wherever was nearby and grabbing a jar of the commercial stuff. At home I usually just threw whatever we were having into the blender a few times a week and froze the extra.

I dislike people who try to make others feel bad who don’t measure up to their perfect standards. Elly shouldn’t feel badly over the cookie. It looks delicious.

Totally agree with you Dr. I come here for the laughs (and some witty banter). ;-)

I can get all the negativism I want from the real world (it’s a virtual bargain basement give-a-way!)

I love Elizabeth’s perfect timing during that conversation! :-)

You can learn a lot here: foolishness, friendliness, some wisdom, and a lot of laughs.

I had to laugh when my kids were small. A co-worker of my husband had kids similar ages, and a wife who was gung-ho into naturalness, purity, nothing “processed”, etc. The pediatrician recommended that she feed the toddler a McDonalds burger: pure beef, double ground and very healthy. I loved it.

Was the child an adopted malnourished ethiopian, Atajayhawk?

I make most of my kid’s food, but I have to admit there are some things just not worth the time when I can buy it in a jar. Like prunes.

gmartin, don’t you think you’re just a LITTLE TOO fascinated with the Big Top! You waste more time typing your insults than you probably spend reading the comics!!

gmartin - It doesn’t matter if you read this comment, but others will. I just noticed that your comment had nothing to do with today’s strip.

In the perfect world mothers would have the time to make their child’s breakfast from scratch.

gmartin, I read your micro rant after I posted and I know sometimes people come back to see if anyone responded to their posts. If you did, does that mean you can’t comment without looking really stupid? Well, don’t you worry about it because I already know you can be a pain in the A$$ sometimes. We’ve tried being nice to you but it’s now time to just cut your loss lose! Why do you even read the comics? It clearly does nothing to cheer you up!

i regularly return to the strips i’ve commented on to see what others have had to say after my first visit. there are even times when i will return to previous days - if there was a string of comments that interested me enough to wonder where they went to after i left. and yes, i do “have a life” - it’s why i visit at such varying times of day.

You can almost always tell who among us is Narcissistic by what they write. They actually think the rest of the world is interested in their opinions to such a degree that a debate ensues. They welcome a debate because it gives them yet another opportunity to rant . Reading the comments is only entertaining when it’s not a battleground here.

Thanks Ash for the correction. SchmoozeMinkey you are so lucky that I’m not the flagging type. I see that your comment has been removed. I stand by what I say, comics like For Better or For Worse, not only are entertaining to read but can teach you things from time to time.

Wow, someone is leaning on a lot of nerves! Personally, I try to avoid feeding my rugrats sugar for purely practical reasons - my parents call my 18-month-old “Hurricane Jenny”, she doesn’t need any more energy than she already has!

We really know how to get on nerves in the comic world. I really love to read the comics online, but may be having second thoughts because of the harsh vibes in here, or maybe just not read any of the comments. They used to be based on the comic, but now, not so much!

Sheesh, guys, lets read and enjoy a good laugh every now and then.
