Oldie- I too, am concerned about Humphries. I wish him well and hope he is in a good place, come what may. As for the toon-much adoo about nothing but a personalized i-pod.

I don’t think the queen should be OUR queen (in Canada) but tradition is tradition.
On the other hand, there is a first time to everything. The queen’s mother, (then duchess of York) was the first royal to ever smile in public, in the 1930’s.

Stew, Michelle’s response to having the queen put her arm around Michelle first hardly falls into the same category as the smarmy Bush’s impromptu neck massage of the German leader.
I assume your referral to Bush’s massage as a “wink” was for the same reason you omitted that the Queen was the one who first broke protocol?

Actually - Michelle touched the QUEEN first, or are you all thinking if you say(post) it often enough it becomes the truth. Others have tried and failed! And Frog - If it hadn’t have been for the Queen’s ancestors you would all be speaking French instead of just the Quebecois.

WillBerry: the Palace spokesman said there was no breach of protocol. The video suggests the Queen touched first in any case. And clearly she liked the Obamas. Sheesh.
