Hamas must be stopped; the least worst solution would have been for Netanyahu last October to basically start with ground troops at the north end of the country, move house by tunnel, and take out anyone that was even suspected of being Hamas. More Israeli soldiers would have been killed and many innocent Gazans, but the ultimate death toll would have been far lower and this would have ended last December.
