A new truck nowadays …..even the cheapest one you can find, cost more than my first house. Oh, and not trying to get too political, but what was once called news is no longer available anywhere. Ratings are now the goal because ratings is what brings in advertising.I love that old saying “Follow the Money”.

Even Reagan and Tip O’Neill were able to work together. Republican Reagan reportedly had a plaque in his office with a Democrat Truman’s quote: “ It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.”

As I recall, our first house did cost about twice my annual income.

I, too, remember a time when a “politician” was defined by his or her ability to compromise with others of their ilk and that “politics” could be defined as “compromise”…

Of course, I can also remember when you could be a “liberal” republican as well as a “conservative” democrat. The governor of New York, Nelson Rockefeller, was considered a “liberal” republican – such people no longer exist as far as I can tell…

All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain… Time to die.
