The NCAA is trying desperately to cling to all the $$$ and power they used to have over “student-athletes”. Their power is starting to fail, states are passing laws to give those “student-athletes” a piece of the money pie while the NCAA looks to Congress[who is indifferent]to get them out of the mess they made

When they make enough the “ students” could end up paying room, board and tuition.

If they weren’t NCAA tournaments, then the NCAA should have no say in it. It’s not the same as schools paying athletes for school (NCAA) competitions.
