Coffee could sit for a week? What kind of a workplace is this? In any workplace where I’ve had a break room the pot was empty by 11:00 – even if there was a sign saying “If you pour the last cup brew another pot.”
I hate to think what year our (almost full) jar of instant coffee is from. Have not had anyone in since before Covid came along so it has not been touched in literally years.

Oh, dear. Week-old coffee shouldn’t last that long. By process of evaporation, it should be tar at the bottom of the carafe.
