I’m a Christian who believes in natural selection. (There are LOTS of us.) But I’m still waiting for that half-evolved bat (I’ve dubbed it Semichiroptera.)
There many whale skeletons at various museums. Many have residual rear leg bones. So the last drawing is incorrect in that the existing whales are transitional. Not surprising as all living organisms are transitional.

Gaps in the fossil record are the norm. Getting fossilized is a low probability event. It’s not like journaling or bookkeeping, folks.
