It’s sad to read this comic. Agnes is such a unhappy child, loved by no one, so she takes refuge in her imagination.

At least, Calvin is loved (sort of) by Hobbes.

Agnes may be deprived but she has grand ambitions.

Grandma is pragmatic. She doesn’t want to completely dash Agnes’s ambitions.

Perfect parenting: set low expectations for success, passively deny hopes of a better life for your progeny, expect failure and reap what you sow.

My favorite monster truck story.

Every year they do the Toy Fair in New York City. There’s a street triangle across from the main entrance. One year they parked Big Foot there. It was hilarious; almost all the men looked at the truck with lust, and almost all the women shuddered at the view. I’m going to say 1990, maybe.

In my experience, one sees very little color variety in trailer parks.

Let’s envision reality, and focus on passing ONE class this year.
