Poor Fillmore! These were the guys that Fillmore was trying to get away from for quiet meditation, in the first place. Here they are again introducing on his zen space. I really feel sorry for him.
I didn’t play with Tonka trucks: I played with Dinky Toys. I had all the best ones’ too: I had the Centurion (Medium tank), the APC with rotating turret, and several others. One of the best features was the fact that they were all cast metal and could withstand firecracker fire to fight again another day, as opposed to my plastic models which were one time (battle) use.
This has reminded me that I have often thought that those odd random spots that draw children to stop and play are magical and have special energy if only for that short while.
Not necessarily sandboxes, although some of them….
