Took me a few takes. Yep: If you would otherwise vote for Biden but prefer someone else… then the Biden Democrats see you (correctly) as making it more likely that Trump will win.

On the other hand, if you wouldn’t vote for Biden on a bet, then please do vote for anyone other than Trump. But first, take a couple of days without any social media or Fox Noose and see if your head doesn’t clear enough to understand what’s going on.

There’s been one (count ’em, one) successful 3rd party in the entire history of the United States. That was when the Republicans finally survived the death-of-the-Whigs sweepstakes in the 1850s, prevailing over half a dozen other wannabes. Ever since then, virtually every 3rd-party effort has been a vanity project of some self-indulgent narcissist. And their primary effect has been to undercut someone whom they probably agreed with on 60-70% of the issues of the day, throwing the election to somebody they probably disagreed with 60-70% of the time.

The first thing I do is check whether the candidate has the experience to be president, which virtually eliminates all third parties. Then I judge their positions and how they can execute them.

‘An insider tipped the FBI off’: Experts pounce on bombshell Mar-a-Lago report

It was reported as an “astonishing” lapse that saw FBI agents miss a “hidden room” in their search of Mar-a-Lago, the social club where former President Donald Trump stands accused of storing top secret official documents.

It got former FBI general counsel Andrew Weissmann thinking that there just might be a new cooperating witness on the table.

“The reports that the FBI missed a ‘hidden’ room at MAL makes me wonder how the FBI now knows that,” the expert wrote Thursday. “Sounds like an insider has tipped the FBI off to that, i.e., another cooperating witness.”

Norm Ornstein, emeritus scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, chimed in that it “also sounds like another embarrassing lapse by the FBI— which did not want to search MAL in the first place.”

Did Trump hide the secret documents the FBI was looking for that he stole from the government in a secret room?

Every bar in the world has loud stupid dishonest crazy people in it, and RFK Jr. is just one more. Without his last name nobody would care about him—nobody would have heard of him. The same for Traitor Trump if he hadn’t happened to be born into a rich crime family.

In 2015 we had a new neighbor move in. He put up signs for every Republican candidate for every office that we could vote for, plus multiples of signs for Trump. Also covered his front porch with banners and flags. Had Trump bumper stickers and signs on his car. His yard looked like a campaign headquarters. We ignored the signs and tried to be friendly. (We never put up political signs, and we avoid talking politics.)

For the 2018 midterms that neighbor only had a few political signs up (all Republican). No banners or flags or car signs. Again, we looked past them and tried to be friendly.

For 2020 he didn’t put up a single political sign, flag, banner, or car sign. Nothing – not even a Trump sign. Didn’t see him out much, but we tried to be friendly.

For the 2022 midterms he again put up nothing. I asked whatever happened to all of his campaign signs? He looked away, then said he didn’t remember having any. Then he blamed the signs on a school project for one of his kids. (His kids are homeschooled.) Okay, I didn’t push the issue.

So far in 2024 he has no signs. I noticed that he’d scraped the bumper stickers off his car.

I wonder how many other MAGAs appear as disillusioned as my neighbor?

Vote third party if you want to see the end of the American Republic
