The framing story for the AL Webber musical By Jeeves! is that Bertie Wooster is scheduled to give a banjo concert, but his banjo has disappeared, so he tells about a past adventure instead. Some may suspect that the butler did it, but while Jeeves can butle with the best of them at need, he’s actually a gentleman’s gentleman.

Did Dr Mel hide the banjo for self-serving reasons or is there generosity in his heart after all?

At least Dr. Mel’s 2023 resolution wasn’t to destroy Brewster’s banjo.

Sounds like the banjo is the American equivalent of the bagpipes.

Banjo music was instrumental, pun intended, for the groove that was part of the feel of the sci fi series “The Land of the Lost” the original series.
