this is supposed to be a joke but i have a good friend who still works in call center and even though she has been vaccinated she has come down with covid 3 times now… 3 times!… because people keep coming in to work sick…one time she was hospitalized for a week

It’s a function of the U.S. Paid Time Off system, where sick days and vacation days are lumped into a single pot. People would rather spend their sick days at work so they can save their time off to enjoy when they are healthy.

I worked in the prison system. It didn’t matter if you came in sick or not, you were getting sick anyway. (anyways?)
